FAQ: Answers to common questions about Hypnosis

How long does the treatment take?

During our initial consultation, we will discuss how many sessions and at what intervals work best for you, so that lasting changes can be integrated into your personality and everyday life. Each therapy session lasts up to 90 minutes.
Short-term therapy usually takes between 3 and 6 months, though in some cases just 1–2 sessions may already bring noticeable results. I’ll be happy to guide you in more detail during the first meeting.

Am I even hypnotizable?

Yes—everyone can experience hypnosis. Hypnosis is a natural state, induced by deep relaxation, that gives us access to the subconscious mind.
If you can follow the guidance of a trained hypnotherapist in a trusting environment, you can reach a state of focused relaxation. In our first session, we will also explore whether we are a good fit for working together.

A good example from daily life is driving: sometimes we arrive home without consciously remembering the exact route we took. It feels as if we were “daydreaming with our eyes open,” while our subconscious safely guided us. This shows that hypnosis is a natural experience available to everyone.

How successful is anxiety therapy with hypnosis?

My approach shows a very high success rate: around 90% of clients are able to significantly reduce or even completely resolve their symptoms.
I only work with clients for whom I see a strong potential for success—based on motivation, openness, and mutual trust during the first consultation.

How does hypnotherapy help with anxiety?

Hypnosis gives us direct access to the subconscious, where fears are rooted. Since anxiety does not develop on a rational level, it can be more challenging to address it solely through conscious thought.
In clinical hypnotherapy, the process is gentle and supportive. We begin with a conversation about your situation and goals. I then tailor the techniques to your personality, motivation, and inner obstacles.

During hypnosis, I guide you carefully into a pleasant trance state—like a deep relaxation—where your conscious mind can drift, while your subconscious becomes open to positive change.
Research shows that up to 90% of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by the subconscious. Imagine what becomes possible when your subconscious starts working for you—helping to release panic, live healthier, and feel calmer.

Is psychological hypnotherapy dangerous?

No. Modern hypnotherapy is safe when performed by a well-trained professional. Always ensure your therapist is licensed to treat anxiety and other psychological conditions.

As a licensed psychologist and systemic therapist, I provide a safe, professional, and supportive environment. You will never lose control—instead, you will enter a pleasant therapeutic trance, gradually and consciously, unlike stage hypnosis.

What if I fall asleep during deep relaxation?

Don’t worry—I will gently guide you back. Hypnosis is not the same as sleep. Instead, it is a special state of awareness, where your attention turns inward. Studies show this trance state is neurologically distinct from sleep. It is a natural part of life, similar to when you realize you’ve been lost in thought while driving.

What if I’m taking medication?

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.

What should I do before booking a hypnotherapy session?

Are you curious about trying my system for resolving anxiety? Before booking, I’ll provide you with detailed information about the expected treatment length, costs, and I’ll answer all your questions.

How much does hypnotherapy cost?

Most clients benefit from a personalized therapy package, which includes individual sessions plus ongoing support.
The fee includes intake forms and analysis, additional support between sessions, and helpful bonus materials to continue your progress at home. Prices vary depending on your needs.

The initial consultation costs €39 via video call, or €59 in my private practice in Las Palmas.

Does hypnosis also work online?

Yes—hypnotherapy works wonderfully via video call. During the pandemic, many of my clients could not attend in person, and we discovered that hypnosis and NLP techniques are just as effective online.
Since physical touch is not required for inducing deep relaxation, all that’s needed is a stable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free environment.
During our initial consultation, we can decide together whether online therapy is a good fit for you.
